Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills This course is designed to help anyone who leads Boy Scout on camping trips. The content certainly covers the basic outdoor skills you'd expect to learn--skills like site selection, cooking and backpacking--but it goes farther than that. At the Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills course, you'll learn about how to plan for a Scout outing including health and safety concerns, weather and alternate plans, first aid and more.
