Program
The purpose of this new program is to assist urban and rural Scout troops
whose camping and advancement programs are below standard. Interested Arrowmen
should secure an application from the lodge. The applications can be obtained
through the Lodge Advisor or the Professional Advisor. All applications should
be returned to the Lodge Service Committee or the Lodge Chief. Selected mentors
will be matched to a troop in need.
Arrowman Service Award
To reward those Arrowmen who go beyond their immediate responsibilities
to help and guide others to new heights, the Order of the Arrow created
the Arrowman Service Award. The award will focus on three areas of
service: personal, chapter/lodge activities, and general service to
the community. The timeline of the award will begin on January 1, 2001
and end on December 31, 2003. The award can be earned in 2001, 2002,
and 2003. Everyone that completes the award will be able to secure
an Arrowman Service Award from their lodge.
