Cub Scout Day Camp 2008 WHAT IS CUB SCOUT DAY CAMP? Day camp is a week-long summertime opportunity for all Cub Scouts to participate in activities that are designed to build mental fitness, physical skills, and character. Day Camp is also a lot of fun, all based on the 2008 theme of "Cubs in Space." PROGRAM: Â Day Camp activities really Blast Off in 2008 as we shoot for the stars! Rockets, craters, asteroids, aliens--what all will you find at YOUR Day Camp??? Specific activities included BB-gun shooting, archery, crafts, water games, nature
and sports depending on the facilties available. 2008 CAMP DATES: Click on the following link for the most current schedule of 2008 Cub Scout Day Camps AND Twilight Camps in Gulf Ridge Council (first handed out at the 2007 Program Extravaganza). FORMS: Click here to jump to the Cub Scout Day Camp Family Packet including all Registration Materials, Health History forms, rosters and other materials you'll need to get your pack registered for the Day Camp of your choice. There is also Special Information for Day Camp Pack Coordinators and campership forms.
ELIGIBILITY: Â Participation is only OPEN to registered Cub Scouts. Transportation to and from Day Camp is the responsibility
of the parents. Some packs may arrange car pools, van or buses for transportation. Day Camp staff is made up of helpful and caring leaders
and parents. Staff members volunteer their time to develop and implement
a first class program for the Cub Scouts. Boy Scouts serve as Den Chiefs
and Den Leaders are provided by the Packs. Therefore we need as many
parents as possible to give their support by donating some time, at least
one-day, to the program. Camp Directors and Program Directors are certified
by the Boy Scouts of America’s National Camping School. A trained or certified First Aid specialist will be present
at all times to give needed medical attention. Agreements have been made
with local hospitals in case of emergencies. You will register for Day Camp ONLY through your pack by submitting the bottom portion of the Camp Flyer with Tear-Off as soon as it is available. Contact your Cubmaster or your pack Day Camp Coordinator to let them know that you're interested in attending. And parents, remember that the Day Camp is not for Scouts only! You will receive a significant savings on your son's camp fee if you attend camp with him for the entire week. And, it will become memories that will last a lifetime! FAMILY PACKET: Families of Scouts who are attending Day Camp this summer can find all the information and forms they need right here! Download the particular forms you need, fill them out and TURN THEM INTO YOUR PACK DAY CAMP COORDINATOR with a check for the appropriate fees MADE PAYABLE TO YOUR PACK!
