Approved Cub Scout Pack Camping Sites

Click here for a list of Approved Campsites within the council for pack-coordinated Cub Scout camping events.  If you have a site that you would like to have considered for this list, please complete the Site (Park) Approval Form and submit your request by fax to 813/875-5890 or by email to the Cub Scout Camping Information Center.  You can also hand-deliver it to the Council Service Center if you prefer.  Site approval requests are reviewed by the Council Camping Committee at the quarterly program meetings.

TIGER TIME, 2008

REVISED REGISTRATION FORM!

Here is the long-awaited registration flyer for Tiger Time, 2008.  This program is offered on Saturday, January 12 in TWO locations in the council to make it as convenient as possible.

  • Tiger Time East will be held at Eagle Lake Baptist Church in Polk County
  • Tiger Time West will be at the Council Service Center (13228 N. Central Ave) in Tampa.

Make plans now to attend one of these fun-filled programs that feature Tiger Cub electives and achievements in a half-day of activities for the Tiger Cub and his adult partner.  Click here for the Tiger Time 2008 registration form (corrected on 11/28/07), clip off the bottom section and return it with your fees to the Gulf Ridge Council by Monday, January 7 to reserve your space.  Don't forget to mark which Tiger Time you're planning to attend!

The Cub Scout Outdoor Program

Cub Scouts do fun things with other kids! They get to wear a cool uniform, go places, and see things. They play all kinds of sports and build things, like race cars and bird houses. Want to learn a secret code? Want to learn about wild animals? If you're a boy in the first through fifth grades, go Cub Scouting!

Here's a link to learn more about our 2006-2007 Cub Worlds held at Camp Brorein (near Odessa), Flaming Arrow Scout Reservation (near Lake Wales) and, for the first time, at McGregor-Smith Scout Reservation (near Inverness).

If you still have questions, drop an email to us to the Cub Scout Camping Information Center.  See you all at camp!

Are you interested in becoming a Cub Scout?
Please follow this link, click on the Cub Scout section and use our zip code lookup feature to determine what district you reside in. Then, contact the District Executive for that area by phone or email to get specific information on packs in your area, such as meeting time & place, and contact information for the Cubmaster.  Or, send an email to our Membership Services Division.

For general information about Cub Scouting, see the national BSA fact sheet about the program.
