The Race to Cub Scouting Plan.

In collaboration with the community, the Boy Scouts of America Gulf Ridge Council operates to serve the youth of the West Central Florida Area by providing an environment where leadership opportunities, life-long skills, values, and morals are the outcomes for future generations.

Race To Cub Scouting 2006!

Virtually every Cub Scout pack in the 8 county Gulf Ridge Council will be recruting new members in late August.  Click on the following link for SPECIFIC DETAILS ABOUT YOUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. This is an Adobe file showing the date, start time and point of contact for each Race to Cub Scouting Rally.  Note that this file will be updated regularly as more details are confirmed so CHECK BACK OFTEN. 

In 2005, the Gulf Ridge Council adopted a new approach to fall membership recruiting. Following the plan of the National Cub Scout Division, we held coordinated rally nights that were designed to reach virtually every available Cub Scout-age boy in just two nights. The plan, known as the "Race to Cub Scouting," worked beautifully. In fact, the Gulf Ridge Council recruited more youth in the fall of 2005 than in any year in recent history.

The Race to Cub Scouting plan was so successful that we will be using it again in 2006.
