Advancement Committee
The Council Advancement and Recognition Committee oversees all aspects of advancement in the council, especially the Eagle Scout process. This committee also reviews heroism and meritorious service nominations and other national awards (such as the Hornaday Award for Conservation, the Whitney C. Young Award for service to Inner City youth, the Scoutmasters Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award).
There is a District Advancement Committee that focuses on unit level advancement issues and guidance, on conducting Eagle Scout Boards of Review and on the District Award of Merit.
Online Advancement Resources
Click on the following link to get to the BSA National Council's requirements page for Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class. This is a work in progress and some features--including some video presentations--are still under construction. But, this should be a great resource for Scouts in the early ranks and for leaders as well.
