Patriotic Service

...To do my duty to God and my Country...

This has been an important part of the Scout Law and Cub Scout promise from their very inception. And Scouts have been at the forefront of patriotic celebrations, ceremonies and remembrances ever since 1910.

Gulf Ridge Council encourages our Scouts to take the opportunity to participate in patriotic observances in your town whenever feasible.  We particularly recommend Memorial Day programs in the spring, Independence Day celebrations in July and Veteran's Day programs in the fall.
