Flashbulb Award

The Marketing Committee of the Gulf Ridge Council announces the creation of a brand new recognition plan: The Flashbulb Award. Click here for a Flashbulb Award Flyer and Order Form.
To earn the Flashbulb Award:
- News about your unit must appear in print on at least FOUR separate occasions in a 12-month period.
- Submit copies of the articles or photos along with the completed Flashbulb Award flyer to the Gulf Ridge Council.
- Submit a written narrative of the impact of the news releases on your unit.
If your pack, troop, team, crew or post has at least four (4) articles or photos with captions published in their local paper during a calendar year, the Gulf Ridge Council will provide a special patch for your Direct Contact Leaders (DL, DA, WL, WA, CM, CA, SM, SA etc) and your unit Committee Chairman. Additional patches for participating Scouts, parents, other leaders, etc. can be ordered for just $.50 a piece. Order your extra patches when you submit your Flashbulb Award form.
